2008 Verizon Wireless SAVE Walk

Join us for the 5th Annual Verizon Wireless SAVE Walk! The Walk is the result of the collaboration of the Victim’s Service Network, (Center for Victims of Violence & Crime, Crisis Center North, Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, The HOPE Center, Womansplace, and Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh) and was established to raise public awareness concerning the epidemic of violence and its devastating consequences in our county. The event also raises unrestricted funds for each of the partners. This year the event's sponsors include: Verizon Wireless, The FISA Foundation, the Allegheny County District Attorney, Goodrich & Goodrich, Beth Lazzara, Mikel & Co. Silk Screening, WalMart, Fidelity Bank, Print King, Mercy Behavioral Health, Kings Restaurant, Metz & Associates, Czekalski Real Estate, Inc. and the National Council of Jewish Women. Registration begins at 10 am, with the 2.5 mile walk starting at 11am. Registration Fee is $15.00 prior to October 3rd; after the 3rd, $20.00. Register via mail or online at www.womansplace.org.
